How to save Instagram Reels and posts as a map

Updated June 25, 2026

Saved a Reel full of cafes and viewpoints? Instead of scrolling back through your saves, paste the link into Places and get every spot on one map.

Turn a Reel into a map

Copy the Reel's share link, open a map in Places, and paste it into the add bar. Places reads the post, finds the places in it, and drops each one on the map with a photo and a short note. It works for Reels and many regular posts.

From there you can reorder the pins, color them, sort them into lists, and share the map with a link.

Keep all your saves in one place

A pile of Instagram saves is hard to act on. A map shows every spot at once, in the right part of the city, so you can see what's close and plan a route around it. Sort spots into lists like Food and Views, and color the pins so the map stays easy to read.

Share it with friends

Send a read-only link anyone can open without an account, or invite people to edit so everyone adds their own finds. Edits sync live. When the plan is set, you can export to KML to open the map in Google Maps (KML export is a Pro feature).
